An innovative Construction services business is looking to source a Design Manager to join their team and provide a total design management solution for a demanding scheme in Plymouth.
Working on site, you would be liaising with the site teams, senior management, consultants and architects to effectively manage the design process and should have a solid, work history reflecting your achievements in a similar role incorporating experience on a range of general contracting schemes and a sound understanding of detailed design.
Candidates must display a solid career history in Design Management gained within a Main Contracting environment, ideally with previous MOD knowledge and have sound construction knowledge and understanding alongside great communication skills.
Suitable candidates should have a solid Tier 1 Contracting background with experience of performing a Design management role on sensitive project(s) of a similar size and complexity. You'll need a good eye for detail, the confidence to challenge drawn information to improve detailing, buildability to create efficiencies and you should have NEC contract experience with knowledge of Asite advantageous.
