Senior Quantity Surveyor – Yeovil
We are looking to speak with experienced individuals for a permanent role with a leading tier one contractor. This is a fantastic chance to collaborate with a well-established building contractor, working on innovative projects for both public and private sectors. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial completion of projects and mitigating the company's financial risks. Whether managing multiple small projects or handling a large-scale project, this position offers a great opportunity for growth and career advancement. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely submission of all relevant data required
  • Prepare accurate draft sub-contracts and/or to approve such drafts as prepared by subordinates
  • Assist contracts management in the administration of sub-contractor performance
  • Prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and subsequent cash collection
  • Liaising with Contracts Managers on the day-to-day commercial administration of contracts to ensure the financial success of construction operations and to keep the Commercial Manager appraised of all material events
  • Preparing accurate draft sub-contracts and/or to approving such drafts as prepared by Commercial Team
  • Supervising, mentoring and encouraging junior staff in their personal professional development
Applicants should possess:
  • A professional accreditation eg RICS, CIOB (Or working towards)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Packages
  • Extensive experience of working on live projects and final accounts
  • Exposure to resolving disputes
  • Successfully completed a number of final accounts
  • P22 Healthcare experience desirable
  • Relevant driving licence
