Key Responsibilities
Design electrical building services systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and fire alarms
Prepare detailed calculations, specifications, and technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
Collaborate closely with mechanical and public health engineers to develop integrated MEP solutions
Conduct site surveys and inspections to inform and verify design decisions
Engage with clients and project teams to understand requirements and provide technical advice
Ensure compliance with UK electrical standards, such as BS 7671 and CIBSE guidance
Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient design initiatives
Mentor junior team members and support continuous process improvement
Candidate Profile
Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical building services design within consultancy or related sectors
Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience is desirable
Strong technical knowledge of electrical design principles and relevant UK regulations
