You’ll join a well-established engineering firm with nearly 45 years of experience across civil, structural, geotechnical, and MEP disciplines. The team supports major infrastructure, rail, bridge, and building projects throughout the UK, offering collaborative and technically rich opportunities
Key Responsibilities
Design electrical building services systems: power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, data/communications, and security, in support of infrastructure and building projects
Produce calculations, specifications, technical reports, and coordinated drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation tools
Collaborate closely with civil, structural, geotechnical, and mechanical teams to develop integrated project solutions
Conduct site surveys and technical inspections; support temporary works and phasing during design and construction stages
Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and multidisciplinary workshops
Ensure compliance with UK wiring regulations (BS 7671), CIBSE design standards, and project specifications
Support quality assurance, estimation input, and value-engineering across MEP discipline
Mentor junior engineers and help develop internal technical standards
What You’ll Bring
BEng/MEng or HND/HNC in Electrical, Building Services, or related engineering field
2–6 years’ experience in electrical building services design, ideally within a multidisciplinary consultancy
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (experience with BIM collaboration appreciated)
Familiarity with UK electrical regulations (BS 7671), CIBSE guides, and building standards
Ability to work across disciplines and understand project phasing, site programs, and temporary works
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Proactive attitude, strong organisational skills, and attention to detail
Interest in infrastructure, rail, and structural projects is highly advantageous
