Job Title: Electrical Estimator

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 based on experience + benefits
About the Company:
We are recruiting Electrical Estimators for an M&E contractor operating across Devon and Cornwall, with a longstanding reputation for delivering high-quality electrical installations across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. Due to sustained growth and a healthy pipeline of secured projects, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their dynamic team.
Role Overview:
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be a key part of the pre-construction team, responsible for accurately pricing electrical packages on a variety of projects ranging from small works to large-scale developments. This is a critical role that directly impacts the company’s ability to win work and deliver projects profitably.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates and cost plans.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive and competitive tenders.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best possible quotations.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams to ensure alignment of estimates with actual project requirements.
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings when necessary.
• Support value engineering and alternative design solutions to drive cost efficiency.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of pricing and supplier information.

• Proven experience in electrical estimating within a building services or M&E contracting environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, current regulations, and installation methods.
• Proficient in using estimating software (e.g., Trimble/Amtech/Estimation or similar).
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred due to the regional nature of the business).
