📢 Site Manager – Retrofit & Energy Efficiency Projects

We’re supporting one of our key property services clients in the search for an experienced Site Manager to deliver innovative retrofit and energy-efficiency projects across occupied residential portfolios. This role is ideal for someone who combines excellent technical knowledge with strong leadership skills, and is passionate about delivering quality, sustainable solutions.



🌟 What you’ll be doing

You’ll take charge of day-to-day site operations, ensuring programmes are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and managing operational delivery of retrofit programmes to meet agreed budgets, targets, and objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, welfare and employment legislation and policies.
  • Building excellent relationships with clients, residents, and stakeholders, responding promptly to queries.
  • Delivering energy-saving measures such as insulation (wall/loft), ventilation, glazing, low/zero-carbon heating, lighting, and other sustainable technologies.
  • Ensuring all works comply fully with funding, regulatory and quality standards (ECO, PAS2030/2035, Building Regs, Gas/Electrical regs, etc.).
  • Managing and supporting engineers and subcontractors, providing technical guidance and monitoring performance.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are maintained.
  • Reporting accurately on progress, budgets, and costs in partnership with commercial teams.
  • Leading site meetings and briefings, including H&S updates and training as required.


What we’re looking for

We’d like to hear from candidates with:
  • Career progression from trade background/apprenticeship through to Site Management.
  • SMSTS, CSCS Managers card, First Aid at Work, IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Sound knowledge of Temporary Works Procedures.
  • Strong understanding of site administration methods and practices.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good commercial awareness with the ability to identify contract variations.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and technology.
  • Familiarity with IT applications including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Power Project.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.


🌟 Desirable but not essential

Retrofit Coordinator or Retrofit Assessor qualification.

Previous experience delivering retrofit/sustainability programmes.

Project management and/or technical experience with M&E systems or heat networks.
