An exciting opportunity has opened for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established regional contractor on a permanent basis. Based out of the area, this role will cover a wide range of projects including commercial refurbishments, internals ad externals ranging from £10k up to £5m. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial support to the Commercial Manager and senior management team on multiple projects across the region. 

Responsibilities:

• Financial and contractual management
• Reviewing contract terms and conditions with the Commercial Manager
• Procurement and management of all suppliers and subcontractors
• Submission and agreement of client valuations and final accounts
• Ensure variations are reported and costed in a timely manner
• Maximising each project’s cash position 
• Monthly CVR reporting
• Managing financial risk and opportunity
• Assist the Contracts Manager with project reporting
• Provide estimating and contracts management support when time permits
• Encourage and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients and supply chain

Requirements:

• Degree qualified desirable or undertaking
• Relevant driving licence
• Strong written, oral communication skills and negotiation
• Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and Project
