Design and Planning Technician – Plymouth £35k - £45k DOE + Car allowance

New opportunity for a Design and Planning Technician to join an independent high end housing developer based down in Plymouth.

This would suit somebody that has previously worked and has good knowledge within the Housing Developer industry, or somebody from an Architecture background that is looking for something slightly different.

Responsibilities:

• Have full responsibility for the design and delivery of the housing schemes, and working closely with the design team
• Design and develop layouts and new homes design with planning and detailed drawings
• Liaising with the commercial, design and build teams externally for the feasibility of projects
• Working with town planning legislation, environmental impact and budgets
• Liaising with professionals such as building services, construction managers, surveyors and Architects
• Develop and maintain internal and external relationships
• Have a good understanding and experience submitting planning applications, building control and regulations
• Preparing specifications, reports, proposals and presentations
• Site visits
• Setting out targets with the design team

• You must have experience with Housing Developers
• Have a construction or Architectural degree
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Strong understanding and experience within Planning
• Full Drivers licence and access to a car
