As one of the biggest names in Construction, this well respected main contractor has developed an excellent reputation for delivery and through a network of UK offices and a dedicated workforce; they have secured a number of prestigious building projects across Devon and Cornwall and are therefore looking to expand their team with an experienced Senior Bid Manager to capitalise on their success and continue increasing and securing new schemes to their portfolio.
Based in their established office in the region, you will be responsible for leading, managing and co-ordinating all aspects of the bid/tender submission process from receipt of the enquiry to the award of the build contract.
Contracts will vary in value, forms of contract and sector including healthcare, commercial, education and leisure.
You will lead and develop strong and accurate pre-construction planning and bids, reviewing PQQ and tender documents, liaising with clients and design teams, identifying risk and opportunity, write and co-ordinate submissions and have an involvement in business development.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Bid Management within the construction sector, working on large scale tenders for building projects on behalf of a recognised main contractor.
It is essential that applicants have relevant sector experience ideally in education and/or healthcare fields. You should be degree qualified in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Construction Management with expert technical knowledge and strong communication and presentation skills.
