Bid Manager - Bristol

An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Bid Manager to join a leading national tier one main contractor based out of the Bristol office. This contractor undertakes a variety of sectors including education, healthcare, sports, leisure and commercial and has a healthy pipeline.

As the Bid Manager, you will manage pre-construction activities and tendering procedures for the business, prioritising allocation of resources for key target opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide regular Preconstruction report / programme to Senior Management and Directors
• Consideration of Bid/No Bid process at early stage of tender period
• Produce written content for the bid document and to coordinate the production of the bid document with the proposal’s coordinator
• Establish list of subcontract tenderers for each project with Estimating team.
• Oversee production of submission documents
• Site visits during tender periods and establishing site based reports to bid team

• Provide commercial, contractual and operational support
• Understanding of the construction industry
• Understanding of the different procurement routes and contractual arrangements
