Estimator - Exeter

An incredible opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join a Tier One Main Contractor based out of the Exeter office. This contractor undertakes a variety of sectors including education, healthcare, sports, leisure and commercial and has a healthy pipeline.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that all tenders prepared are in accordance with the business objectives and company procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop tender strategy with Senior Estimator
• Assess Client’s requirements
• Prepare preliminaries in conjunction with Construction/Planning
• Prepare the Net cost to enable Divisional Director to adjudicate
• Involvement in the selection of proposed subcontractors/suppliers
• Manage the tender/cost plan process with the Managing Estimator
• Negotiating with the client and/or the clients’ representatives
• Attend tender interviews/meetings with the client/client’s representatives

• Minimum ONC or equivalent in construction related subject
• Demonstrable experience working as a senior member of an estimating team for a major contractor
• Demonstrable track record of winning bids
