Associate Structural Engineer
We are now looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join my clients thriving business in Birmingham. This office primarily covers; civil and structural engineering in, they have a full order book stretching well into 2021/22. We are looking for someone who can lead from a technical stand point, ensuring successful and timely delivery of projects.
This consultancy has several offices across the country with Birmingham being the most established. They aim to promote a contemporary and enjoyable working environment.
This team undertakes the following tasks…
- Design of building structures, including commercial, education and residential projects to name a few
- Projects range from new build to refurbishment
- Foundation design and assessment
The team is highly motivated and committed to the delivery of successful projects for their clients. This ethos has resulted in an expanding workload and the requirement for an Associate to lead with Technical delivery.
Relevant skills & experience…- Experience leading a team of engineers and technicians
- Project delivery, amanaging projects from inception to completion
- Design experience in all common building materials
- BIM experience would be an advantage
- An ability to build relationships with clients
- An ability to represent the company professionally
- Good commercial awareness
- Chartership is not essential
- A valid full UK driving license
Responsibilities will include…- Carrying out structural design in steel, concrete, timber and masonry
- Liaise with clients, project team members and local authorities
- Building relationships with clients assisting with business development
- Co-ordinate whole projects and packages of work with minimal assistance
- Enhance and promote the image of the company by their actions
- Attending networking events
- Mentoring, nurturing and developing engineers
- Attend site and design team meetings
- Reporting critical issues to office Director
- Ensuring financial data and forecasts are kept up to date
- Take an active role in the development of the structures division with a view to exapanding the teama dn client base
Remuneration and training… The company will provide a competitive salary, a contribution towards a personal pension scheme and professional membership fees, which are paid for one organisation. The company contributes to regular social events and encourages extracurricular events and activities.

On offer is a salary of £55,000 - £65,000 as well as 25 days holiday and private healthcare. Home working is also on offer.
