Overview of the role
The role will involve working within a team of specialist engineers and technicians to deliver innovative and sustainable civil engineering and infrastructure solutions for clients across a variety if sectors. The successful candidate will have ‘hands-on’ design involvement and be responsible for project delivery
Working within a growing multi-disciplinary consultancy, you will work closely with colleagues with different engineering backgrounds to deliver projects from initial concept stage, through planning to detailed design.
You will also be tasked with nurturing existing client relationships and will be supported to form alliances with new clients.

Your role will include:
- Collaborating as a member of a growing multi-disciplinary consultancy.
- Operating across a range of projects
- Undertaking scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs and project coordination.
- Working in a design office environment, while also playing an active role in design and site meetings, site inspections and progress reporting.
- Good communication and effective liaison with clients, architects, contractors and regulatory/statutory authorities are therefore considered key attributes.
Ideal experience - BEng, MEng, HND or HNC Civil Engineering qualification, with at least two years’ experience gained in a civil engineering design office environment.
- Working knowledge of Section 104, 278 and 38 adoption procedures.
- Excellent analysis and technical design skills in AutoCAD, PDS, Civils3D and MicroDrainage.
- Experience working with residential developers.
- Working knowledge of the SAB Approval process and SuDS-led design principles and details.
- Knowledge of UK planning procedures and experience of providing technical support to secure planning approval.
- Experience of securing technical approvals from highway and drainage authorities.
- Confident written and verbal communicator.
- Self-motivated team player with good people skills.
