Are you an experienced Civil Infrastructure Engineer looking to step in a lead technical position?

Technical Infrastructure lead required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a hugely successful engineering practice with offices across the Country. The business typically covers core civil engineering disciplines such as; drainage and infrastructure, structural, transport planning and geotechnical.

They are currently int heir 9th succussive year of growth and the company prides itself on delivering innovative and commercial construction and infrastructure engineering solutions on a very wide range of projects across the business sector spectrum. It is supported by an extensive client list comprising of many leading construction companies, national development companies, institutional investors and other household names.



The role:


We currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer either at Principal or Associate level for the busy Cardiff civil engineering team. This person will be joining as the technical civils lead for the regional Cardiff office.


It is essential that the candidate will be capable of working well within a team environment.  They will have excellent mathematical and technical skills, an up to date  knowledge  of  the  relevant  software  and  standards  for  the  production  of  quality  detailed designs, ensuring that engineering solutions produced comply with current design and construction standards, applicable legislation and client expectations; and are delivered in accordance with the agreed timescales.


Civil engineering design and delivery functions will be primarily in the field of 278 agreements and associated drainage for projects across a variety of sectors including:

  • Highrise buildings
  • Residential developments
  • Various MOD firing ranges
  • Commercial developments
Desirable experience:
  • S38/S278 highway design to Manual for Streets and Design Manual for Roads & Bridges
  • Volumetric Assessment
  • Drainage  design  for  Private  and  Adoptable  Systems  (Strategy  and  Layout, Hydraulic Calculations)
  • Flood risk assessments
  • Microdrainage experience
  • Undertaking Statutory Authority Searches & Liaison
  • General Reporting and Correspondence
  • Construction Specifications
  • Risk Assessments
  • Project delivery
  • Client relationship management
 


The Individual



You will have a demonstrable proven track record of working within a busy civil engineering team and working in a key position on infrastructure projects. You will be able to work under and on your own initiative and be able to take tasks of ad-hoc nature in your stride. The position will require an individual who is organised, numerically literate and analytical, has an attention for detail and takes a professional pride in the quality and delivery of their of their work and that of their team. This role would suit someone who enjoys leading a team and interacting with people
