We have worked with this Winchester based company for over 10 years, and we are sourcing a very experienced Civil Engineer to join an ever-growing diverse team.

Said company are a multidiscipline Property and Construction Consultancy, who cover public and private sectors, new developments, regeneration and refurbishment who pride themselves on a 80% repeat business record. They pride themselves on having quality and being reliable, and also being proactive and flexible.
They have been running since 1946, with 13 locations in the UK. They provide a comprehensive range of civil engineering design, procurement, coordination and project management services with the lovely Oxford location.
Current Projects
Currently the company are working with projects in excess of £100 million, and are currently working on major governmental infrastructure schemes, in addition to cutting edge projects in the Formula 1 world. In addition they are involved with a multi-million, 32,000 square-metre patrol aircraft facility in Scotland.
Jobs and Responsibilities
In this role you will need to be able to:
- Produce highways and drainage designs in medium to large development projects
- Produce Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and Nutrient Mitigation
- Provide day-to-day client interface, conducting site visits for technical assessments
- Prepare client / project proposals
- Supervise CAD Technicians
- Work closely with other disciplines on Multi-discipline projects
- Represent the company at external meetings with clients, contractors and fellow professionals
- Deliver work to agreed fees and assist in negotiating fee proposals
- Procure project resources
Qualifications- Good understanding of section 38, 278 (Highways Act) and section 104, 106 and 185 agreements
- An understanding of DMRB and MfS Vol 1 and 2
- Competent user of Windes Microdrainage
- Good working knowledge of Civil 3D
- Experience with designing a wide range of projects from conception through to completion
- Ability to distribute tasks
- Competent in the design of external works for private sites including vertical and horizontal setting out in accordance with the Building Regulations, British Standards and local authority requirements
- Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM), drainage design, SUDS and highways
- Be proficient at design and happy to participate in productive work
- Educated to Degree level and ideally Chartered or near chartered civil engineer
- You will have the technical skills, knowledge and experience to find creative solutions for even the most complex challenges and the ability to communicate these clearly to all parties.
