Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Devon

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and reputable roofing  contractor on a permanent basis to cover Devon. Types of projects include domestic and commercial and industrial and you will be involved in a multitude of projects across the region at any one time.

Responsibilities:

• Review of Contract Documents and identify contractual risks
• Provide up to date information on anticipated final account figures and projected profit
• Provide feedback to estimators regarding actual costs
• Identify cost saving opportunities
• Identify and record variations to contract
• Monitor variation accounts, for inclusion where appropriate within client account
• Agree final accounts and reconcile with client account

Ideally you will have a HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying (or other equivalent qualification)
Must hold experience working in a similar role
Must have excellent communication skills across all levels of staff and management - both internal and external
Must be computer literate in Microsoft programs including Excel, Word and Outlook
Driving Licence UK
