Estimator - Exeter
On behalf of our client, RGB Recruitment are wishing to speak with main contracting Estimators for a permanent position for a regional building contractor based in Devon.
Due to the success and growth of this contractor and with a number of schemes already on site and about to start, location of future sites could be located in either Plymouth, Exeter and the surrounding areas.
Key responsibilities:
· Gathering quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers
· Assessing the levels of risk on a project
· Preparing and submitting quotations for work
· Helping with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities
· Prepare tender enquiries when appropriate and analyse tender returns
· Measure and take-off from drawings as necessary to provide accurate estimates based on current rates
Skills:
· Able to make judgements/assessments in relation to budget costs from limited information
· Degree qualified / relevant qualifications, A back ground in residential or commercial build
· Relevant driving licence
· Quantity Surveyor with Estimating experience would be of interest
