Commercial Assistant / Trainee Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Plymouth
A market leading property maintenance company are looking for a Commercial Assistant / Trainee Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis due to pipeline of works. This well-established company’s portfolio include refurbishments, reactive maintenance and painting to a variety of sectors including social housing, MOD, new builds and local authorities.

This position would suit someone who has recently graduated within Quantity Surveying or someone with an accounting background wishing to make the change into Quantity Surveying as training and University backing will be provided. A background in roofing would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the commercial team with procurement, invoicing and payment to minimise costs & maximise value
• Support with measuring and preparing cost estimates for contracts and tenders
• Build relationships with several specialist subcontract and supplier contacts
• Make applications for payment on time and in a format agreed with the client
• Ensure submitted invoices are paid on time

• A minimum of 4 GCSE’s including maths and English
• NVQ level 3, professional qualification or equivalent
• Numerate and Literate
