Design Manager – Bath

An opportunity has arisen for a Design Manager to join a regional Developer on a Temporary basis to co-ordinate and manage design information for their live projects across the South west.

As this role will focus on Housing developments, it is imperative that you will have previous experience of working on Housing design management gained either within a contractor’s development division or for a specialist Housing developer.

Able to work flexibly between sites, the office and from home, your key responsibilities will include:

• Co-ordinating the flow of information relating to the design and any alterations across the relevant parties
• Managing relationships across the project team - with the client/professional team (consultants) and subcontractors
• Reviewing any subcontract enquiries and documentation to ensure alignment with the agreed design philosophy
• Reviewing the design on an ongoing basis, identify potential interface problems & construction sequencing/buildability and resolve with the design team and subcontractors.

It is expected that in addition to previous experience, you will have:  

•             Sound knowledge of MS packages e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Teams

•             Experience of 3D design management (BIM) and digital software eg. REVIT, NAVIS, AutoCAD, Tekla and online document control software.

•             An appreciation of current Building Regulations, WHTM’s, HBN’s and housing codes.

•             Knowledge of current BREEAM & Sustainability requirements

 
The Developer has a great reputation for delivering quality and this contract requirement is estimated to run for 3-4 months.
