Administrator Required
Location: Ipswich – Temporary role until July 2026!
£12.21ph plus holiday
Hours – Monday – Friday 7.30am – 4.00pm
Are you organised, confident working with systems, and experienced in supporting operations within a busy environment? We are seeking an Administrator to play an important role in supporting a team and managing key processes accurately and efficiently. Working within Highways, this role is working closely within Street works Permits.
About the Role
As an Administrator, you will support the delivery of front-line activities and play a central part in coordinating workflows, responding to enquiries, and ensuring compliance with organisational and legislative requirements.
This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure. You will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operation of administrative functions and support the achievement of service outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination and management of permit-related workflows
- Process, review and update documentation and system records
- Respond to enquiries from internal teams and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
- Prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines
- Produce, interpret and share reports to support decision-making
- Liaise with colleagues to clarify requirements, advise on procedures, and ensure compliance
- Work collaboratively with schedulers, supervisors, and other team members
You will ideally have:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Worked within a similar environment, maintenance/Highways would be an advantage
- Confidence working with software systems and following process workflows
- Experience building professional relationships with a range of stakeholders
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
