An exciting and varied position for an organised and enthusiastic individual to join a leading company as a purchasing / projects coordinator, you will have come from a construction related background, due to the nature of this role this is essential, working in a similar role.

This role is an integral part of the team, supporting and liaising with the wider business departments to ensure materials and equipment are ordered and delivered in an efficient, timely manner and any information required is completed to a high standard.
Brief outline of the role:
Raising Purchase Orders via P/O System EQ2
Arranging deliveries/collections
Liaising with both internal and external teams and companies
Providing materials and equipment prices for site teams
Evaluating supply quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers
Ensuring requests are processed in a timely manner
Following up with suppliers, concerning order statues and to communicate delivery information with all departments
Due to the nature of work, you will be required to think on your feet and make changes if weather conditions change and prevent work from going ahead.
Arrangement of vehicle services and MOT’s
Reporting risk to your manager that might impact the business
Ensuring you deliver your role with the compliance framework
Experience and attributes needed:
Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
IT literate to a high standard and able to proficiently use Work, Excel and Outlook
Excellent communicate skills both written and verbal
Team Player
You will be a highly versatile and organised individual
Enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ approach
‘Think on your feet’ ability
This is a fast paced role, you will need to be adaptable and thorough in your working approach, ensuring you follow actions up correctly, both over the phone and inputting into the system.
This is a demanding role which requires a unique individual to grab hold of it and take the reins!
Salary will DOE + Standard government pension, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 (1 hour break)
The office is located in Liskeard and is commutable from Launceston, Tavistock and Plymouth
