Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background running multimillion pound projects?

As an experienced senior quantity surveyor with a proven background working for a contractor, you will oversee a large scheme in Plymouth. The initial project is a mixed housing scheme and future projects might be more construction biased, a mixed background in contracting and house building would also be of interest!

You will hold strong commercial awareness and capable of running the site on your own, reporting to the commercial manager, there is huge potential of progression within this role and as the next phases start and grow the opportunity to a build a small site team.


Summary of duties:

• You will undertake cost analysis comparisons for subcontractors from tender enquiry to analysis and contract placement.
• Prepare and present cost plans
• Identify risk, cost control and value management.
• Valuations, measurement, and final account, CVRs.
• Predicting profitability and ensure this is upheld throughout the project and ensure the schemes come within budget.

Applicants should possess the below experience:

• A strong contracting background
• Accustomed to running your own large £10m + projects
• Ideally qualified to degree or HNC level in Construction or Quantity Surveying or working towards
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Fully IT literate
• A team player
• Strong reporting skills
