Multi-Trade Operative with a Carpentry Background/Skillset 

RGB Recruitment are helping our South West Based Client find a Multiskilled Trades person to take over their long time served colleague who is retiring and leaving a position that needs to be filled with a similar individual who is experienced, highly resourceful, flexible, and enthusiastic. The successful candidate will be helping this Construction company deliver a range of small and medium sized projects mainly in the public sector from School Refurbihments to public build extensions.  Most works are Based in Exeter and surrounding areas.

Is this for you 

• The ideal candidate would have general knowledge of Carpentry,  basic building works, and Multi trade Handyman works.
• CSCS Card and DBS are an advantage but not essential as we would provide both
• Be fIT Literate to be able to work a Tablet
• Demonstrate basic construction site knowledge sufficient to work safely and efficiently on-site.
• The ability to communicate with colleagues and clients.
• Must be experienced and hardworking, with the ability to work to a high standard and on own initiative.
• The role will vary day to day but will typically cover a broad spectrum of Multi-Trader Skills and General builder in various building trades.
• Should have a “Can Do” approach and portray a positive attitude with a good head for problem solving and building defects.

• Working in a Public Sector Construction Enviroment
• IT literate and able to use email and Tablet
• Repair and maintenance tasks.
• Carpentry.
• Plumbing.
• Brickwork and pointing.
• Plastering and tiling.
• Painting and decorating.

• Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
• CSCS card at the appropriate level – Blue card desirable. Not Essential but advantageous
• Must have a background in Carpentry and be able to carry out most basic multiskilled Maintenance tasks 
• Organised and able to meet deadlines.
• Must be self-motivated 
• Good knowledge of all aspects of Health and Safety
