An opportunity has been created for a Document Control Manager to join the team of a Tier 1 Civil Engineering Main Contractor.
On offer is the opportunity to join a c.£150m infrastructure project to support a new housing development with London. The project would oversee the build of new roads, bridges, cycle lanes and parkland, as well as the water, gas and communications networks required to deliver the housing development.
The overall purpose of the role is to lead the Document Control Division for the company whilst reporting to the Project Manager.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support and assist the project team under direction of the Project Manager
- To assist with monitoring the key aspects of document control performance on the Project
- Contribute to meetings with the client, stakeholders, suppliers, designers
- Resolve problems, develop solutions and innovations.
- Support the control of documents throughout the project lifecycle.
- Set up/maintain an electronic document control system to meet the needs of the project.
- Quality check incoming documents (from designers/ sub-contractors) in line with the document control procedure.
- Provide document support to ensure that all current design, specification, drawings and all associated contract related documentation is issued and maintained in an efficient and accessible controlled manner.
- Monitor compliance and advise individuals failing to observe these systems and procedures.
- Formatting documentation and quality checking before distribution to our client
- Scanning, plotting, printing and any other duties that will help support the team.
- Provide advice on document management.
- Participate in workshops/ forums for continual development/ business excellence.
- Report on the status of document project deliverables and chase close out of items.
Professional qualifications required:- Minimum 5years demonstratable experience working for a Civil Engineering Main Contractor within a Document Control Role.
As an organisation they currently work on a number of projects spanning across Highways, Rail, Tunnelling and Civils across the UK
