        Site Engineer – Taunton / M5 Corridor up to Bristol
Groundworks & Civil Engineering
Full-time £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits
RGB Recruitment is excited to be working with a leading groundworks and civil engineering contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to join their team.
This role will see you supporting projects along the M5 corridor – from Taunton through to Bristol – playing a key part in the successful delivery of schemes across the region.
About the Role
As a Site Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring works are set out accurately and completed to specification. Working closely with project teams, you’ll provide technical support on site, helping to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Sites cover the M5 corridor from Taunton to Bristol, so applicants should be based locally or prepared to travel within this area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out for foundations, drainage, roads and external works
 - Liaising with project teams, site managers and subcontractors
 - Checking drawings, plans and quantities
 - Producing as-built records and maintaining accurate site data
 - Promoting and upholding safety, quality, and environmental standards
 
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer within groundworks or civil engineering
 - Proficiency with robotic total stations and setting out equipment
 - Strong technical knowledge and excellent attention to detail
 - Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
 
- Familiarity with Trimble equipment and software
