Job Details

Quality Assurance Engineer

Are you a Quality Assurance Engineer looking for a new challenge in Cornwall?

RGB are delighted to be supporting a Civil Engineering Main contractor who have recently secured a Major Highways upgrade scheme in Cornwall and are now looking to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join the team.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will inspect the workmanship, quality and safety of work on the various sites and reports back to senior managers and clients. As a clerk of work, you’d be conducting regular site inspections and checking that building plans are being followed correctly.

Other duties may include:

  • Inspect workmanship to ensure compliance with building regs and client specifications.
  • Maintaining work logs and site diaries and compiling and filing official status reports.
  • Manage any statutory testing required and also participate in project meetings.
  • Advise on and oversee aspects of Health & Safety, as well as keeping a log of any unexpected delays or events which may impact on progress, for instance, supply chain issues with materials or a disruptive spell of adverse weather which halts works.
  • Look out for defects, monitoring and inspecting the project at regular intervals, to ensure structural integrity and compliance with all laws and regulations.

The successful applicant will need to be an enthusiastic and organised individual with good IT, written and verbal communication skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a company who have built a great reputation and grown impressively over the years now enjoying the market share of their specialist sector.

Please apply below or contact Laura at RGB for more information.
