Document Controller – Plymouth


An incredible opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Document Controller to join a live construction project in Plymouth.

With a growing number of projects planned for the South West they are looking to source the best talent to support them as the projects develop.

The purpose of the role is to support the Document Control team to help manage and control all project document flow to ensure accurate registration, storage of drawings and specifications and accurate liaison with site team, design team, subcontractors, customers, external suppliers and work winning staff.

For this role you'll who have strong IT or administration experience within the construction industry, ideally you will have used and have a sound understanding of Viewpoint and Field View. As the team grows and becomes more successful you will have the opportunity to attend courses or shadowing opportunities to support you in your career progression.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set up, copy, scan and store documents
  • Create templates
  • Manage requests for documentation
  • File documents in physical and digital records and ensure storage
  • Review and maintain the accuracy of the records, editing where necessary
  • Manage the processes around documentation within the organisation
    
To be considered for this role you will have previously worked within Construction administration ideally within a Document Controller role in either Infrastructure sectors such as Rail, Water, Highways or similar.

In return is the opportunity to progress into a more senior role and gain progression through training and mentoring of the senior team.
