Senior Digital Engineer
A Global Construction & Civil Engineering Main contractor have created an opportunity for a Senior Digital Engineer to join a 1.2bn. London Project.
The project is the construction of a new Energy Recovery Facility which will transform tonnes of waste from landfill every year and unlock one of the largest low-carbon district heat networks in London.
This £1.2bn facility will treat up to 700,000 tonnes of waste and provide enough electricity to power over 127,000 homes within the local area.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide BIM delivery support for tenders, project teams and FM; including preparing spreadsheets, 3D and 4D models
- Create and review multi-discipline BIM models using suitable authoring and checking tools.
- Support company in BIM development, including conducting training sessions
- Manage and maintain, with the close support of IT, BIM related software
- Understand, support and implement the delivery of Level 2 BIM using the industry standards: BS 1192:2007, PAS 1192-2:2013, PAS 1192-3:2014 and BS 1192-4:2014.
- Work with project and tender teams to meet deadlines and ensure professional delivery.
- Support the BIM core team in meeting their initiatives.
- Assist BIM core team in writing and delivering presentations.
- Asset BIM core team in writing internal standards and procedures.
- Provide updates to project and tender team during development of deliverables, ensuring that their expectations are met, and the scope is understood.
- Assist the business/project in achieving the objectives/targets set in the Taylor Woodrow Carbon Strategy within your specific work activities
