Electrical Building Services Design Engineer – Cardiff | Building Services Consultancy
Are you an Electrical Design Engineer looking to work with a close-knit, well-established consultancy that values quality, collaboration, and sustainability? We’re currently partnered with a reputable Building Services and Sustainability Consultancy based just north of Cardiff, and they’re looking to grow their team with an experienced Electrical Engineer.

This consultancy has over 30 years of combined industry experience, providing mechanical, electrical, public health, and sustainability design services across Wales and England. They work across a broad range of sectors, offering full project support from feasibility through to completion – all under one roof.

The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join a growing team and play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions. You’ll work on a range of exciting projects in the built environment, with the support of experienced engineers and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and development of electrical building services systems (LV distribution, lighting, fire alarms, etc.)
• Contribute to feasibility studies and concept designs
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders across all project phases
• Deliver coordinated and integrated MEP solutions
• Ensure designs meet regulatory, environmental, and sustainability standards

• Strong background in Electrical Building Services Engineering
• Experience working within a consultancy or design-focused environment
• Knowledge of MEP coordination and building services systems
• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar is advantageous
• A proactive approach and ability to manage multiple projects
