Electrical Engineer
An established building services consultancy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its growing Manchester team. Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical building services designs from concept through to completion, working closely with internal teams, clients and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated and compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver electrical building services designs including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, security and data systems.
  • Prepare calculations, reports, specifications, schematics and detailed layouts in line with current UK regulations and best practice.
  • Produce and coordinate drawings and BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Attend site visits, design meetings and project reviews, providing technical input and resolving design issues.
  • Support tender processes, review contractor submissions and respond to technical queries during construction.
  • Work collaboratively with mechanical, architectural and structural teams to ensure fully integrated designs.

Skills & Experience
  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer within a building services consultancy or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of BS standards, CIBSE guidance and UK Building Regulations.
  • Experience using Revit, AutoCAD and electrical calculation software.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to manage workload across multiple projects.
