Job Description
An established building services consultancy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its growing Manchester team. Role Overview
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical building services designs from concept through to completion, working closely with internal teams, clients and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated and compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical building services designs including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, security and data systems.
- Prepare calculations, reports, specifications, schematics and detailed layouts in line with current UK regulations and best practice.
- Produce and coordinate drawings and BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Attend site visits, design meetings and project reviews, providing technical input and resolving design issues.
- Support tender processes, review contractor submissions and respond to technical queries during construction.
- Work collaboratively with mechanical, architectural and structural teams to ensure fully integrated designs.
Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer within a building services consultancy or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of BS standards, CIBSE guidance and UK Building Regulations.
- Experience using Revit, AutoCAD and electrical calculation software.
- Good communication skills and the ability to manage workload across multiple projects.
