An opportunity has been created for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a Civil Engineering Main contractor on a London based Tunnelling Project.
As an organisation they are a global Construction and Civil Engineering company who operate in projects across Rail, Highways & Energy Sectors.
As the Health & Safety Advisor you assist the Manager to develop a positive health & safety culture focused upon accident prevention and improving the health & safety of all personnel on site. Initiate and maintain positive measures to raise standards, ensuring the company complies with OHSAS 18001 obligations, health & safety legislation and all minimum health & safety standards.
Due to the nature of the Project the following experience is required:
CSCS Card at an appropriate level.
Professional Membership within CMIOSH or equivalent
Demonstrable experience of working on a large Infrastructure Project with many work fronts and disciplines.
Have a detailed knowledge of health & safety legislation and ensure that the works are undertaken in compliance with all statuary and company requirements.
Ensure a construction phase health & safety plan is prepared and accepted before works start and ensure the plan is continually updated throughout the project.
