An opportunity has come up for a Property Services Supervisor to join an award winning, not-for-profit organisation in St Austell, Cornwall. The candidate will be responsible for the multi-skilled trade staff and is answerable to the Assistant Head of Property Services and/ or the Property Services Manager.


About the position

In this position, the candidate would handle the daily responsibility for delivery and coordination of a high quality customer focused service, to ensure that projects reach the required quality and targets.

Responsibilities would include:

• Providing effective and efficient line management of operational staff, who will undertake servicing, repairs and renewals
• Ensuring all works meet the standards of the client in relation to delivery timescale and quality
• Operate as the first point of contact when any issues arise, and take responsibility to resolve these with operational staff 
• To carry out inspections to determine work requirements
• To ensure that works are carried out according to company policies, procedures, specifications and time targets

• Qualification in a relevant building trade or equivalent
• ILM/ NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in first line management
• Supervisory experience in residential refurbishment, such as kitchens, bathrooms, re-roofing etc
• Have the experience and ability to produce detailed schedules of work
• Evidence of project supervision
• Budgetary control experience
• Experience of working in the building industry
• Knowledge across multiple trade disciplines
• Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Experience in providing excellent customer service, developing relationships and have good communication skills

• Salary of £36,159 per annum
